How To Modernise Family Enterprise
Through Next Generation Leadership
wondering about the following:

Much emphasis in family enterprise advisory is placed on the process of succession planning. However, insufficient attention is given to preparing for the marked changes in leadership style, strategic aspiration and even values which emerge when a new leader takes the reins of the family business.

Leadership

Like any new CEO, there is a short period of time to create significance with all the stakeholders, understand the full terrain of the current vision and strategy while seeking to bring the family along for the next stage of its journey. Preparing for this transition can help ensure a successful start for new leadership. At the same time, family business leaders face unique challenges, which corporate CEOs don’t face. These must be anticipated and managed proactively.
The Rising Generation program is tailored to address the specific challenges/issues of emerging leaders, while also allowing for deep dive learning with other emerging family business leaders. We ensure an environment of confidentiality and trust, which enables meaningful sharing to happen.
After completing the preparation coursework and the retreat, participants will be:
- More in tune with their core identity and strengths as a family enterprise leader
- Able to navigate the complex overlap between business and family leadership
- Equipped as the agent of change to actuate their own vision and drive the family enterprise forward
- Connected with a supportive cohort of others on a similar journey

The Rising Generation Fellowship has an Asia/Australia geographic focus and brings together diverse cohorts of emerging family enterprise leaders for an initial three-day intensive learning and discovery retreat.
The retreat combines personal and leadership development with long-practiced rite-of-passage practices to create a life-changing experience for future business family leaders.
Preparation for the retreat includes core readings, assessments (including 360° from others within the family enterprise), and a debrief to identify specific areas of focus. The retreat itself is composed of three core study modules:

In an extraordinary High-End Location
Set in the breathtaking backdrop of Australia’s unique nature, this transformative retreat is unlike any other. This ancient landscape, dotted with green mountains and blue water bodies, provides a powerful backdrop to step away from daily routines and delve into deep self-reflection. The raw beauty and unique energy will challenge participants to explore their purpose and vision, and foster a sense of resilience and fierce presence. The well-designed and set accommodations will allow them to connect with nature’s majesty in relative comfort, creating the perfect environment to integrate the materials and shape their future.
The magic lies in the unique fusion of outward adventure and inward exploration. The environment challenges participants’ sense of being in control, while the well-curated serenity fosters profound self-reflection. The stark beauty and quietude have a remarkable way of stripping away distractions, allowing participants’ inner voices to emerge with unparalleled clarity. This echoes the wisdom of ancient cultures who sought vision quests in the wilderness. Just as they did, by stepping outside their comfort zones and immersing themselves in nature’s embrace, participants will unlock a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.
The program approaches personal growth as a collective inquiry. Looking to develop and exchange learning through emerging ideas and sharing relevant experiences from the rich pool of perceptions and background in the group, the participants are encouraged to develop a sense of confidence and strengthen their intuitive leadership knowledge.

in the way she looks outside the traditional well-being of clients from a financial perspective, looking very much at their emotional well-being and that of their family to achieve the best outcome for intergenerational
succession planning and to preserve family harmony and wealth. I think she’s very inspirational and one of the best leaders I’ve worked with in the succession and wealth management space.
